My name is Tommy Soini, I’m 26 years old and based in Vantaa, Finland. I’m currently studying for a BBA in Information Technology at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, specializing in infrastructure and cybersecurity.
Since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed modifying and improving things. I’ve always wanted to be able to fix and understand systems myself, whether it’s computers or cars. Before starting my IT degree, my skills included building custom PCs, installing Windows operating systems, configuring BIOS settings, and even overclocking hardware.
Gaming especially playing Counter-Strike also taught me a lot about using the command line and Linux terminal. For example, connecting to specific servers often required commands like connect [ip.address], which sparked my interest in how systems really work under the hood.
I’m passionate about cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity. My goal is to build a career where I can design secure, scalable systems and continuously learn about emerging technologies in IT. I’m especially motivated by challenges that require both technical problem solving and creative thinking.
